Merry Go Round - The audition for Fonit Cetra - 1973

This was a highlight of our adventure.

Thanks to I no longer remember the help of those who came into contact with an official of Fonit Cetra , at the time a primary record label that was also based in Porta Ticinese, in via Meda to be exact.

The audition was certainly not a success not only because of our immaturity, but also because the Fonit Cetra was certainly not known as an exponent of avant-garde music (read the list of its artists and you will understand why).

In any case, the musical level and artistic ambitions have undoubtedly increased and some points are of a good level and enjoyable too.  fifty years later.

I confess that I enjoyed visualizing my harmonies even more.

A note on the lyrics.

At the time I gave little importance to the lyrics and often sang using an English-speaking grammelot.

In this case, I had really written the lyrics in English (who knows what lexical misgramming and horrors!), But they were lost and my pronunciation, voice and poor amplification meant that even I don't know what I sing in those words. tracks.

The only thing left are the titles, of which the only one that makes sense is Jean who should deal with a very banal story of a broken love.

So if you decide to listen to them, think of the voice as a musical instrument, as I really meant it.
