PUEBLO - PUblic Edit Based Opinion (1992)
In 1992 the World Wide Web did not yet exist (it would have been born only the year after CERN in Geneva, but only since 1998 can we speak of a true commercial diffusion, while Facebook will only be born in 2004.
This Magazine wanted to anticipate by at least twenty years the current phenomenon of information disintermediation from traditional media created by modern social networks where (at least in theory) anyone can publish their opinions and their contents making them available to anyone in the world.
The purpose of PUEBLO was in fact to allow all readers / citizens to express their opinions on any topic concerning: foreign policy, internal politics, local news, culture, sport, entertainment, etc. both by sending articles and by replying to surveys proposed by the editorial staff (obviously by paper mail!).
Once again an idea too far ahead of the times ...
